Within the main Matrix window Matrix provides 5 interactive environments each of which are independent of the others.

Work being done in one environment will not be effected if you move into another environment.

The main Matrix window can be expanded in width to show two recipe panels.

To expand the width of the Matrix window click the red R.2 arrow button.

The window may be reduced to show only one recipe panel by clicking the R.1 red arrow button.

The five working environments are accessed by clicking the labelled tabs.

Recipe to Formula

This environment enables the user to enter a new glaze recipe or load a previously saved recipe during which time a Seger formula will be calculated and displayed for that recipe.

You may interact with the recipe's materials and quantities in this environment but not with the recipe's formula.

An entered recipe may be saved to disc as either an individual file or may be added to a collection of recipes in a database. More...

Formula to Recipe

In this environment the user may enter Seger formula values for a glaze or load the Seger formula values for a previously saved glaze.

A glaze's Seger formula may be manipulated according to your needs then a new recipe may be generated using the Make Recipe function.

All of these process may be monitored on Limits and Al Si graphic displays. More...

Blends

Matrix can generate the three basic blend types of various sizes. In the Blends environment the user may generate a new blend using corner glazes previously saved in either the Recipe To Formula or the Formula To Recipe environments.

All of the data generated when the blend is created can be saved to disc for later reloading if required.

Blends recipes may be saved as Recipe Databases thus providing access to individual glazes in the blend for further study or manipulation.

The worksheet generated in the making of a blend provides information enabling the user to mix bulk corner glazes and mix all blend glazes using the volumetric blending technique.

When a blend has been created or loaded from disc, the distribution of Seger formulae in the blend may be viewed on an enlarged Limits and/or Al Si Graph. More...

Raw Materials

In this environment base glaze raw materials databases may be accessed and viewed.

New Materials may be added to any database.

Data relating to existing materials in a database may be changed.

New databases may be created.

Raw materials may be copied from one database to another and a window may be displayed in which all of the materials in a particular database may be viewed.

The raw material data shown in this environment includes all information saved in the raw material file when the material was entered. More...

Colourants

In this environment the colourant database may be accessed and viewed.

New colourants may be added to the database.

Data relating to existing colourants in a database may be changed.

New colourant databases may be created.

Colourants may be copied from one database to another and a window may be displayed in which all of the colourants in a particular database may be viewed.

The colourant data shown in this environment includes all information saved in the colourant file when the colourant was entered. More...
