The unity formula is only part of a complex set of factors which
influence the quality of the fired glass.
Apart from the unity formula, a glaze quality may be influenced by:
- the f iring temperature,
- the thickness and method of application,
- the underlying clay body,
- the raw
- the firing atmosphere in the kiln and
- the firing
All of these have a very important baring on the final look and
feel of the glaze.
