How can the maturing (melting) range of a glaze be changed?

Unit 3 Topic 4
Focus on Raw Materials
The maturing temperature of a glaze may be adjusted by changing the proportional balance of flux, stabiliser and glass-former.

The maturing temperature of a glaze depends on the proportional levels of flux to amphoteric and acid oxides.

Changing this balance will alter the melting range of the glaze.
